Foodservice Operators Embrace Limited-Time Menu Innovations

Foodservice operators are leveraging limited-time menu innovations to attract consumer traffic. P.F. Chang’s, for example, recently introduced a menu collection inspired by autumn traditions in Kyoto, Japan. This special menu features unique offerings such as duck wings tossed in teriyaki sauce and topped with toasted sesame seeds, Fresno peppers, and scallions, as well as duck fried rice with shredded duck, fried egg, edamame, and more. The restaurant’s culinary vice president, Steve Solis, expressed excitement about working with rich autumn flavors to create a menu that is both comforting and bold.

Another player in the industry, Carl’s Jr., launched its Burger Revolution platform with the Angus Maximus burger. This initiative focuses on a cooked-to-order process to elevate the quality of burgers served. The Angus Maximus burger includes two Angus beef patties, American cheese, onions, pickles, and special sauce, embodying the brand’s commitment to providing top-notch offerings to its guests.

Paris Baguette is also joining the trend with two Halloween-themed items that bring together sweet and heat elements. Their ghost pepper chocolate marble mochi donut and ghost pepper iced hot chocolate incorporate the fiery kick of ghost pepper with indulgent chocolate flavors, capturing the essence of Halloween with a surprising twist. Cathy Chavenet, chief marketing officer of Paris Baguette North America, highlighted the goal of delighting customers with unexpected flavor combinations this Halloween.
