Celebrity Collaboration: George Clooney Teams Up with Casamigos Co-Founders for Nonalcoholic Beer

Actor and director George Clooney is joining forces with his Casamigos co-founders, Mike Meldman and Rande Gerber, once again. This time, they are venturing into the world of nonalcoholic beer with the launch of Crazy Mountain.

Crazy Mountain, a 65-calorie, alcohol-free beer, is set to debut in select markets in 2026. It will be available in classic lager and lime varieties.

The brand is positioning itself as a beer for those who want to enjoy the taste, ritual, camaraderie, and satisfaction of drinking a cold one while living a healthier lifestyle.

According to Meldman, “Crazy Mountain belongs at the barbecue, on the boat, during a round of golf, or a run on a trail – it fits every occasion.”

What sets Crazy Mountain apart from other nonalcoholic beers is its unique brewing process. Unlike other brands that remove alcohol post-brewing, Crazy Mountain preserves the integrity of the flavor from start to finish.

Celebrities are increasingly entering the beverage industry, with nonalcoholic options becoming a popular choice. From better-for-you soda and water to alcohol and energy drinks, the trend is on the rise. Nonalcoholic beers, in particular, have seen a surge in celebrity involvement, with brands like Bero by Tom Holland and now Crazy Mountain by George Clooney, Mike Meldman, and Rande Gerber.

As Clooney puts it, “We love beer, we just don’t always want the effects that come with it.”

The nonalcoholic beverage market has experienced significant growth, reaching $925 million in sales for the year ending August 2025, a 22% increase from the previous year.

Major players in the beer industry, such as Guinness and Heineken, have also entered the nonalcoholic beer space by launching their own versions of classic brews.

With their track record of success with Casamigos tequila, Clooney, Meldman, and Gerber are well-positioned to capitalize on the growing trend of nonalcoholic beverages. Their previous venture was acquired by spirits giant Diageo for $1 billion, showcasing their ability to innovate and create successful brands.
