Victoriano Perez Mies has been appointed as the new chief manufacturing and operations officer at McCain Foods, confirmed by a spokesperson from the frozen food company to C-Store Dive.
No further details about Mies’ appointment were provided by the spokesperson at the time of press.Mies will be joining the company as Peter Dawe, president of McCain’s global snacking business, shifts focus to the snacking sector.
“Having spent time with Victor over the past several months, I’m confident his deep operational expertise and people-first leadership style will be a tremendous asset to McCain,” Dawe stated in his announcement on LinkedIn. “I look forward to partnering closely with him as we continue to support our customers, grow our business, and build for the future.”
According to Mies’ LinkedIn profile, his new role will involve overseeing global leadership of McCain’s manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, environmental health and safety, quality, procurement, and operations functions.
Coming from PepsiCo with nearly two decades of experience, Mies held various global leadership positions at the company, including his most recent role as senior vice president of supply chain for Europe. He announced his departure from PepsiCo in August.
Prior to Mies, Attila Tamer served as McCain’s chief manufacturing and operations officer, as stated on the company’s website. Tamer’s LinkedIn profile indicates his departure from the company in early 2025.
