Panera Bread hires Rebhun as CMO

Panera Bread has recently appointed Andrew Rebhun as its new chief marketing officer, taking over from Mark Shambura who has left the company.

Rebhun will be responsible for overseeing all marketing aspects at Panera, including brand and creative, digital and loyalty, menu innovation, and media. Prior to joining Panera, Rebhun served as the chief marketing and experience officer at CAVA and as the CMO at El Pollo Loco, Inc. He also held marketing roles at McDonald’s and Ford Motor Co.

Rebhun holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.

Paul Carbone, the CEO of Panera Bread, expressed his excitement about Rebhun joining the leadership team, emphasizing his expertise in the restaurant industry and his focus on brand building, customer engagement, loyalty, and growth strategy. Carbone believes that Rebhun’s track record of delivering impact will be instrumental in the company’s ongoing transformation efforts to enhance relevance and drive demand with customers.
