Newman’s Own Introduces Purposeful Salad Kits
Sauce and snacks maker Newman’s Own is expanding its offerings to include packaged salad kits.
The philanthropic brand, known for donating its profits to children in need, has partnered with Fresh Del Monte’s vegetable division to launch Newman’s Own Salad Kits. These kits come in four exciting varieties: King of Caesars, Rodeo Remix, Italiano Magnifico, and Parmesan Powerhouse.
“Consumers have numerous options in the salad kit aisle, and that’s why we are thrilled to bring something truly unique with our Newman’s Own collaboration,” stated Danny Dumas, Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Product Management in North America for Fresh Del Monte. “By combining our high standards with Newman’s Own famous dressings and charitable model, we are setting a new standard in the category.”
Consumers are increasingly interested in purchasing products that reflect their values, such as supporting producers, reducing food waste, and promoting sustainable practices. Brands that align with these values gain a competitive edge in the market.
Newman’s Own’s expansion into salad kits complements its existing range of dressings, dried fruit, and olive oil, offering consumers a complete salad experience. With the growing demand for healthier and convenient meal options, Newman’s Own is well-positioned to capitalize on the rising prepackaged salad market.
Ocean Spray Dives into Drink Mixes
Ocean Spray is responding to consumer demand for convenient, sugar-free beverage options with its new line of drink mixes.
These mixes, available in flavors like White Cran x Strawberry, Cran x Grape, and White Cran x Peach, aim to deliver the taste of Ocean Spray’s popular juices without added sugar.
The brand’s collaboration with Dyla Brands will see the drink mixes initially available on Amazon, with plans to expand to other retailers in 2025. This move comes as powdered drink mixes experience a resurgence in popularity, driven by the demand for better-for-you beverages and hydration drinks.
With the projected growth of the powdered drink mix category, Ocean Spray is poised to capture a share of this market and cater to consumers seeking flavorful, sugar-free beverage options on-the-go.
