Each pint contains up to 19 grams of protein and approximately 400 calories, with no artificial colors, flavors, or sugar alcohols. This expansion into containers will provide more eating occasions for consumers, as a pint can be shared among multiple people or enjoyed across several sittings.

According to Lisa Vortsman, the chief marketing and innovation officer in North America for The Magnum Ice Cream Company, this move marks a pivotal moment for the brand’s growth. She believes that there is a significant opportunity in the market due to consumer demand for healthier indulgences. With frozen yogurt production on the rise and consumers seeking healthier options, Yasso’s new Greek yogurt pints are set to capitalize on this trend.

Yasso’s frozen yogurt will initially launch exclusively at Target in five flavors: Mint Chocolate Chip, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Fudge Brownie, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Coffee Chip, starting from Oct. 12. The brand’s parent company, Unilever, which is expected to spin off its ice cream business under The Magnum Ice Cream Company banner, acquired Yasso in 2023 to expand its portfolio with more health-focused options.

Vortsman expressed confidence in Yasso’s performance, stating that consumers can’t get enough of the brand. With the better-for-you segment in snacking outpacing the broader category, there is an opportunity to explore new eating occasions for Yasso. Additionally, Magnum’s ownership of brands like Breyer’s, Ben & Jerry’s, and Talenti highlights its commitment to offering a diverse range of frozen treats.
