Pepsi’s Nostalgic New Flavor: Wild Cherry & Cream

Pepsi has recently introduced its latest permanent flavor, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream, which combines the classic tastes of ripe wild cherry and creamy vanilla. Described as having a “sweet, fruity effervescence followed by a smooth, creamy vanilla swirl,” this new soda is sure to stir up feelings of nostalgia.

Available in both full-sugar and zero-sugar varieties, Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream debuted nationwide on Jan. 20 in 12-ounce cans and limited edition 20-ounce bottles. This marks Pepsi’s first permanent flavor launch since Mango in 2021, which is now being discontinued.

Jenny Danzi, Pepsi’s head of marketing, expressed excitement about the unique profile of Pepsi Wild Cherry & Cream, stating, “With 2025 trends focusing on all things cherry, we’re confident this new flavor will be a hit with fans this year.”

The combination of cherry and vanilla flavors aims to attract younger consumers and tap into the current trend of nostalgia in the market. This launch comes on the heels of Coke discontinuing its own Cherry Vanilla soda less than a year ago.

By blending these beloved flavors, Pepsi is not only catering to existing fans of their Wild Cherry soda but also attracting new customers who are drawn to retro-inspired offerings.

Töst’s New Canned Format

Töst, known for its non-alcoholic sparkling beverages, has introduced a new canned format to expand its reach within the beverage market. Previously only available in bottles, this move aims to offer consumers more convenience and accessibility.

After Constellation Brands acquired a minority stake in Töst last year, CEO Brooks Addington highlighted the versatility of the canned format, stating, “The canned format opens up a whole new world of possibilities for us.”

With two varieties available – the original blend featuring white tea, cranberry, and ginger, and Rosé with white tea, ginger, and elderberry – Töst provides adult drinkers with a premium cocktail-style experience without the alcohol.

The rise of alcohol-free cocktail options like Töst reflects a growing trend among consumers looking to moderate their drinking habits or abstain altogether.

Originally targeted at athletes when it first launched in 2013, Protein2o is now tapping into the growing market for protein water. The brand’s new formulation aims to appeal to a broader consumer base seeking a protein-rich hydration option.
