Bel Group, known for their popular cheeses Babybel and The Laughing Cow, has recently implemented Kinaxis software to enhance operational efficiency and increase supply chain visibility, as announced by the food company on December 9th.
Utilizing the Kinaxis Maestro platform across all its operations, Bel Group aims to enhance its scenario planning capabilities, allowing planners to mitigate disruptions by utilizing various scenarios, digital twins, and historical data in real-time to better meet consumer demand.
The integration of Kinaxis software also enables Bel Group to improve short-term shelf-life management, multi-level distribution, and transportation optimization for their fresh products. Partnering with 4flow, a supply chain consulting and software company, Bel Group can further enhance truck management to reduce transportation costs and carbon emissions.
Introduced earlier this year at the Kinexions 2024 event, the Maestro platform is described by Kinaxis President and CEO John Sicard as an “AI-infused supply chain orchestration platform that provides real-time transparency and agility across the entire supply chain.”
Other companies, such as tumbler manufacturer Stanley 1913, are also leveraging the Maestro platform to predict and prevent supply chain disruptions.
